As a dedicated partner to the medical device industry for over 50 years, Micro Machine knows what it takes.
Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
Most of a products lifecycle costs are committed at design stage. Good design should consider the end product performance as well as the overall manufacturability of the product. Often an otherwise good design is difficult or impossible to produce.
Starting at the quoting process, our team actively looks for areas where changes to a feature, dimension, or tolerancing could reduce cycle time and/or make the part more economical to produce. These observations are conveyed to our customer’s engineering team who then can decide the feasibility of the request.
Fast Time-to-Market (FTM) Prototyping
We've developed a Fast Time-to Market-program that may save 3-5 weeks out of your Concept – to – Launch project schedule. Our program has proven to save time and overall production costs up front so you will benefit from savings up front. Our customers who use this program are very satisfied with the results of using this program. It has been a Win-Win program for both sides.
VMI programs provide great value because they enable our customers to maintain control over supply and have a defined level of safety stock on hand. Supply agreements are typically utilized to help define the terms of the VMI and outline forecast requirements that are required for capacity planning.
Customers need to maintain inventory levels that support all their needs in the field. Inconsistent levels have the following negative effects:
When inventory levels are too high: Significant negative cash flow with no positive effect.
When inventory levels are too low: Potentially disastrous effect on sales and reputation.
